She came to my wedding late, by then it was three

She passed a hand made booklet and a wedding gift for me
By the time I reached my place she was nowhere to see
No pictures taken with her, I missed her entirely

But she came and left, leaving the gifts behind
One that clicked me into rewind
For in the booklet lies memories I find
Back when we were still, young, carefree & blind





Today, something came in the mail
A brown envelope bearing my name
I charged at it and opened at will
It was a belated birthday gift all the same

This delivered present for me to keep
Sends me reeling, it touched me deep
For again she has made me flip
With her thoughful efforts & meaningful gifts

Ok, this fat lazy ass of mine makes me extremely lazy to update. Infact, I'm prepared to let this blog of mine wither away and die. But today is an exception.

Marini is an exception.

She just compels me to dedicate this rare entry of mine to her.

Thank you so so much for the handmade gifts. It's such a nice surprise. It means alot to me knowing that you took that extra effort to scan and print those geeky primary school pictures in which you look just fine, as usual and i was with my pink plastic specs (as usual!). I can't believe you still have them till today! I'm proud to say that you still haven't lose your magic on self made cards.

And an Aishah CD to boot! We used to go gaga over Aishah when we were say, 13? So very kental nak mampos! Can you believe it that we went crazy over a female singer instead of the budak2 kental sluar labuh 4U2C? We made ourselves look like lesbians! Even at the point of typing this entry, Aishah's CD is playing in the background. Those were the days huh? *hearts*

So Miss Marini Musa, thank you once more for the lovely presents. I shall keep them to show my grandchildren what Aunty Marini has done for me. I could never express the right words to say how much your effort means to me but I hope this entry tells it all. Afterall, my blog is pretty famous you know! So that makes you famous too!
