I'M BACCCCKKK
Goodness me!! i'm back, still alive and breathing! i'm feeling fabulous! i'm feeling gorgeous! i'm feeling stupendously groovy! Yes yes yes!
Fewer coughs, no more heavy chests, only a little left over phlegm (it will come in handy if wan acts up on me). On the third trip to the blasted doc, he told me that i did not have asthma all along!! That stupid, stupid man! How could he diagnose me with asthma when i have no history of one?Stupid. am going to sue him. So i asked the stupid man for an MC on friday. yes yes! friday! couldnt wait to have an early start to a long weekend, greedy me. Anyhow, it had been a lazy lazy weekend. Caught The Village at the movies. the show is riveting and compelling, a movie which one could depict as boring in the initial part. but the twist at the end will reel your minds. So for those of you who have not caught it on the big screen yet, ya want to know the twist? The twist at the end will reveal that.... the... villagers.... were...... oh nevermind. Go watch it yourself! Sunday was a lazy day for me. Took magic syrup which kept me drowsy and drooling on my pillows the entire day. Didn't even watch TV which i missed so badly, listened to some old japanese CD. had Kiroro and Utada hikaru's song ringing in my head and later in my dreams. Didnt go the the Esplanade to catch the fireworks. Was glad i wasnt there because i learnt that half of Singapore was there and it was a disappointing 5 minutes display of fireworks. I'd rather hug my pillow and snuggle deeper under my duvet anytime than being squashed among banglas. BUT, managed to drag myself out of bed the next day to catch the NDP fireworks with wan & family. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Something interesting happened while i was waiting for the fireworks. Was at Kallang river. Wan and me spotted a good spot which gave us a clear view of Kallang Stadium. The place was turned into a mini Changi beach. Lots of families miling around, having picnics and kids running around, screaming. I saw some families actually swimming in the river. Really. I was happily munching Twisties and sharing a drink with little hana when i heard a scream coming from my far left. Apparently, a woman was shrieking her lungs out, followed by another scream and a HUGE commotion which turned into a ripple effect. Then i saw it. It was this huge black monitor lizard scuttling and scrambling amidst the clamour. Eoooowwww! It was about half a metre long! I stood, frozen, too frozen and stunned to snap a picture of that blasted lizard and little hana was hugging my waist. the makciks and anak daras were screeching wildly as the lizard made a head run towards them. Hahah! Thank God it didnt run towards me and hana, or we'll both have a seizure! I couldnt depend on wan at all to save my life; that bugger was startled to the point of choking on his Twisties. There was some serious manic screaming which went on for about half a minute. at last, some heroic pakcik saved the day. he grabbed hold of the blardy lizard and (guess!) threw him into the river! Eeoowww!! Urrghhh! Blaarggghhh! thanks to the pakcik, we managed to watch the fireworks blissfully, with awe and consternation.... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() that's the scoop i have so far. so what did i miss during my absence?? Tell me! I really appreciate your tags and concern! and thks to vio for calling me up a few days back to check if im still alive. But i will be invading your tagboards soon! So watch out! and lastly, before i make my leave, here's little hana saying "PEACE OUT!!" ![]() Cheerios!
