Metro Madness

Waited for Lina to finish work (poor Lina has to work on a public holiday) before heading down to Metro Warehouse Sale. Being a public holiday, the place was thronged with hungry Singaporeans looking for cheap bargains in the midst of their favourite past time: Shopping

Spent 2 whole hours trawling and scouring the place, digging in wagons, flicking hangers and trying on shoes. I gave up on the fitting rooms; the line was snaking all the way to the exit. Anyhow, we avoided the children and household section. And of course, being singles for 2 hours, we overlooked the Men's too. Who has enuff money to buy stuff for our other halves? Shouldnt they be buying for us? Sadly, Shadick and Wan were nowhere to be seen. I bet they were relieved to be at work on a holiday than being dragged in a crowded, maddening sale.

This one, nice? Hmm.. maybe
I was glad i brought Lina along. I'm just so so soooo indecisive and fickle. So i grabbed her whenever i need someone to make up my mind for me.
Lina found wat she was lookin for

Bought Wan's mum a pretty little beaded bag. She had hinted yesterday about buying Triumph bra at the sale (tee hee.. ). Unfortunately, the little uns get in the way so she ended up at home, taking care of them.
A bag for his mum .. how thoughtful... tee hee..
So being such a thoughtful and *ehemm*, nice girlfriend I bought his mum the little carry all thingy. Yeah, I need to score points (I'm not only thoughful, but honest and shameless). I din get her the bra cos i never could figure out her size, though ;)

So after collecting a bagful of items, i checked out the items at the counter and paid for them. Was a little more than i expected (hmm.. shd haf done my calculations beforehand). I left the place with aching legs and back. Gosh, madness.. the things women do.

In ghastly looking, huge Metro plastic bag: 3 tops (40%!), 2 beaded, ethnic bags (not so cheap afterall), a cute pink-coloured blanket (*gasps* what was I thinking back then?) and a pair of shoes (30!)

And just in case that wasn't enough, I dropped by Tampines Interchange Festival Bazaar and bought tis irresistible soft fluffy pillow. Red, heart shaped and utterly soft to hug! Sssshh! Dun tell wan about it. He'd scream at me if he finds out.

I trudged home, looking like penyamun tarbus with two huge shopping bags. Aaaahh.. so glad to be home :)
